TRACK A -OCCUPATIONAL/PROFESSIONAL TRAINING

  • Basic Money Management Workshops (8 weeks)
  • Employment Developmental Skills Workshops
  • Shadow Hard Trade (Pluming, Electrician, Bricklayer, carpenter, etc.)
  • Job Fair Participation
  • Meet with Union Representatives
  • Shadow Business Trade (Medical Professionals, Banking, Insurance, Education, and Accounting
  • Participate in Business Tour
  • Research Scholarships Opportunities
  • Service on Planning Committee within Program
  • Volunteer Hours (20 hours per semester)
TRACK B - PERFORMING ARTS
  • Basic Money Management Workshops (8 weeks)
  • Introduction to Music, dance and theater. (All Students)
  • Piano Classes
  • Voice Lessons
  • Dance Lessons
  • Youth Production Theater (12 weeks - Production finale)
  • Behind the Scenes:
    Video Production, Sound Production, Editing,, Directing, and Writing
  • Studio Recording
  • Chicago Performing Arts Tour
  • Participation in Center/Community Productions at schools
  • Research Schools/Scholarships Opportunities
  • Perform in Production Finale (All Students)
  • Volunteer Hours (20 hours per semester)

TRACK C - HIGHER EDUCATION PREPARATORY

  • Basic Money Management Workshops (8 weeks)
  • College Writing
  • Pre-Algebra
  • ACT/SAT Testing
  • Understanding Financial Aid
  • Got to College but not into Debt Learning to Survive
  • Preparing for Exams and Finals
  • Choosing a Program
  • Study Habits
  • Pledging a Sorority or Fraternity
  • Local College Tour
  • College Tour of Historical Black Universities.
  • Research Schools/Scholarships Opportunities
  • Take the ACT/SAT Pre-test
  • Serve on a Program Committee
  • Volunteer Hours (20 hours per semester)

TRACK D - TEENAGE PARENTS STAYING ON TRACK

  • Staying in School
  • Alternative Programs
  • Promote Healthy Eating
  • Provide Resources for Health Insurance
  • Assist with finding Affordable Daycare
  • Tutoring Assistance to further education needs
  • Provide safety skills for new mothers
  • Serve on a Program Committee
  • Volunteer Hours (20 hours per semester)
