Our Mission
Our mission is to establish a safe, nurturing environment where youth and young parents can be positively influenced to progressively increase their academic ability, economic development, social awareness, health awareness, and natural creative talents, through enhanced academic tutoring, occupational training, life coaching, healthy lifestyle, fine arts instruction, and college preparation.

Beneficiaries
Our program, located on Chicago's south side, is designed to help youth of all economic backgrounds and ages. Specifically, our programs benefit:

• Cultivated Students ~ Ages 6 to 10
• Progressing Students ~ Ages 11 - 16
• Advanced Students ~ Ages 17 to 21
• Adolescent Parents ~ Ages 21 - 25

Quick Facts About Our Organization and Program

• Changing "LIFE", Education Initiative is a newly founded Non-for-Profit, which works with both youth and adult programming.
  
  
• Founder Audrey Johnson has over 25 year experience in the development, creation, and facilitation of social service education programs across the state of Illinois including Chicago, Decatur, Edwardsville, Venice, and Springfield.
  

• The Pilot Program is an introduction of our services, it is scheduled to be offered and completed in the summer of 2008. Classes, workshops, and training will be offered at no cost to community agencies, schools, churches, businesses and social services groups.

• The summer program will end with a Community Fair where students will be able to showcase what they have learned throughout the summer, families can participate and support their children while having access to valuable information from social service agencies who will also be invited.
  
  
• Collaborative Partners are being sought to join forces and share resources toward the common goal to impact the surrounding community in a positive way and focus youth toward productive interaction.

• Partners who supply space and some materials will benefit by receiving quality programming that is outcome based, professionally staffed, and of interest to today's youth.
  
  
• During the fall program, students will be enrolled in the After-school program and fees will be determined on a sliding scale.

• Partners can complete short term contracts with Changing "LIFE", Education Initiative, to retain services or programs within their center overtime. Sessions can be taught in 8 or 16 week sessions.
  
  
• Changing "LIFE", Education Initiative is soliciting private and public funding to cover fees for low-income families.
